We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Visualization Consultant to assist in the transition from Domo to Amazon QuickSight. This includes modernizing and centralizing data pipelines, transitioning BI tools, and streamlining reporting structures across multiple business units and brands. This role will be instrumental in ensuring consistency in data aggregation, implementing AWS-based solutions, and supporting the migration of visualization tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- BI Tool Transition and Standardization:
- Assist in the transition from Domo to Amazon QuickSight, leveraging its AI functionalities to improve BI capabilities.
- Collaborate with the BI team and stakeholders to refine and implement standardized metrics and reporting structures across six to seven brands.
- Ensure seamless migration of dashboards and licenses during the transition process.
- Data Migration and Pipeline Modernization:
- Migrate data from physical data warehouses (Vertica) to AWS Redshift.
- Centralize and optimize data pipelines from multiple AWS instances and physical servers.
- Team Support and Resource Optimization:
- Collaborate with existing BI engineers and analysts supporting multiple business units, ensuring alignment with project goals.
- Provide technical support and guidance on data pipeline creation, storage, and visualization.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Coordinate with business units to address data sourcing challenges and align strategies.
- Develop compelling data visualizations that effectively communicate insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, or a similar role.
- Expertise in BI tools (e.g., Domo, Amazon QuickSight) and cloud platforms (AWS).
- Proficiency in AWS services such as Redshift, S3, and IAM for permissions and data security.
- Experience working in or supporting BI teams, including engineers and analysts.
- Knowledge of data visualization best practices and dashboard creation.
- Strong project management, documentation and stakeholder communication skills.
