As a Decorating Sales Representative, you will be the face of our brand, assisting customers in selecting high-quality materials for their design projects. With a deep appreciation for textiles and an eye for detail, you’ll provide expert guidance on fabric choices, measurements, and styling while delivering an exceptional shopping experience.
A Day in the Life as a Sales Associate...
- Engage with customers to understand their design needs and recommend fabrics, trims, and accessories to bring their visions to life.
- Provide expert guidance on fabric properties, care instructions, and best uses for fashion, upholstery, drapery, and specialty projects.
- Maintain a well-organized and visually appealing sales floor, ensuring fabric bolts, trims, and buttons are neatly displayed and accessible.
- Process purchases, returns, and special orders while providing a seamless and pleasant checkout experience.
- Stay up to date on product knowledge, including new arrivals and exclusive offerings, to better assist customers.
- Communicate customer requests, trends, and feedback to store leadership to enhance product offerings and services.
- Support merchandising efforts, including restocking inventory and assisting with seasonal or specialty displays.
What You'll Bring to the Table...
- Passion for fabrics, design, and craftsmanship, with a willingness to learn more about textiles and sewing.
- Previous retail or customer service experience, especially in a fabric, craft, or home décor setting, is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, communication skills, basic math proficiency and a customer-first mindset.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekdays, evenings, and weekends.
