Job Description : As a City Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the financial operations of the city. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks to ensure the efficient and accurate management of municipal finances.
- City Accountant job duties ;
- Assisting in the preparation, monitoring, and execution of the city budget.
- Recording and maintaining accurate financial transactions in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
- Processing payroll for city employees, including calculation of wages, taxes, and benefits.
- Collecting and managing various taxes, fees, and revenue streams, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
- Preparing financial reports, statements, and analyses for city officials, government agencies, and the public.
- Assisting in the coordination of financial audits and ensuring compliance with auditing standards.
