Compensation : $17 - $20 per hour
We are seeking a full-time Medical Billing Specialist in Mayfield Heights, OH. Specialty billing experience is preferred but not required for the right candidate. This position requires knowledge of healthcare, medical terminology, third-party payers, and Medicare / Medicaid billing.
Billing Specialist Responsibilities :
- Verify insurance eligibility and ensure proper coding for clean claims submission.
- Enter billing data and submit claims (electronic and paper) to appropriate payers.
- Follow up on unpaid claims and resolve issues causing delays.
- Review and interpret EOBs and ERS.
- Communicate with patients, payers, and facilities regarding billing matters.
- Handle appeals for denied claims and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
- Complete tasks efficiently while meeting department standards.
