Cost and Inventory Analyst 821918

We are looking for a Manufacturing Cost Analyst located in Youngstown, OH. This role is responsible for analyzing process constraints, target costing, margin analysis, and tracing costs to underlying activities. The analyst will oversee inventory management, including cycle counts and the annual physical inventory process, and construct cost-effective data systems to support business decision-making.

Manufacturing Cost Analyst Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze costs related to raw materials, assembly, and intercompany transfers.
• Lead the monthly financial inventory closing, including journal entries, variance analyses, and reconciliations.
• Manage inventory levels, perform audits, cycle counts, and make inventory adjustments.
• Monitor excess and obsolete inventories and non-conforming materials.
• Track material flow and maintain inventory accounting system integrity.
• Review cost estimates and profitability for products.
• Prepare monthly variance analyses and compare results to budgets and forecasts.

Manufacturing Cost Analyst Qualifications:

• BA/BS in Business (Accounting or Finance focus).
• 2-3 years of cost accounting or analyst experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP systems.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Experience in a lean manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
