Wok Cook
Prep and cook to order all Chinese stir-fry dishes according to Stix's recipes and procedures. Stay on the line, read tickets and start items right away. Follow Stix's recipes, portions and cooking procedures exactly every time to ensure quality and consistency. Complete prep list. Adjust pars depending on level of business. Label, store and rotate product properly. Maintain cleanliness of cooking equipment, reach-in coolers and kitchen hoods and filters. Deep-clean kitchen line daily. Help other team members as needed. Always put the customer first and prioritize tickets ahead of other tasks. Stay busy prepping and cleaning throughout shift. Help maintain restaurant cleanliness and follow food safety procedures. Complete opening, running, and closing side-work as well as daily cleaning duties. Call all tickets for the line and make sure the items are going out properly and on time. Coordinate the timing of the items to ensure all items on a ticket are completed at the same time. Supervise other cooks to ensure procedures are being adhered to. Keep cooks on task and help them as needed. Train new cooks for fry, grill, and wok. Communicate with servers and food runners as needed. Make sauces in-house. Help with ordering as needed.
