Job Overview:
As a Mobile Commercial Tire Technician at STLF Diesel Repair, you’ll play a key role in supporting the safe and efficient operation of our clients’ fleets. You’ll travel to customer locations to perform tire installations, repairs, and maintenance for various commercial vehicles, including trucks, trailers, buses, and heavy machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide on-site tire services for commercial vehicles, including installation, replacement, balancing, and repairs.
• Inspect tires for wear, damage, and proper inflation, and offer recommendations for maintenance or replacements.
• Perform emergency roadside tire repairs, including flat tire services and emergency tire changes.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of tires, tools, and equipment in your service vehicle.
• Ensure safety procedures and protocols are followed during all service calls.
• Maintain clear communication with customers, updating them on service progress, costs, and next steps.
• Document services completed, including tire condition, repairs, and replacements.
• Advise clients on maximizing tire lifespan through proper maintenance and rotation schedules.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest tire technology, techniques, and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a commercial tire technician, with expertise in servicing heavy-duty vehicles.
• Ability to mount, dismount, balance, and repair tires for a wide range of commercial vehicles.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; CDL is a plus.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work independently in a mobile setting.
• Good communication skills and a customer-first attitude.
• Ability to lift heavy tires and equipment, and work in physically demanding conditions.
• Flexible availability for emergency calls, including nights and weekends when needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification from the Tire Industry Association (TIA) or a similar recognized organization.
• Experience with specific commercial tire brands (e.g., Michelin, Goodyear, Bridgestone).
• Experience with mobile tire services or roadside assistance.
• Basic knowledge of tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS).

Working Conditions:

• Mobile service environment, working in various locations throughout the Central Missouri area.
• Flexibility in work hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions and in physically demanding situations.
• A well-maintained service vehicle, equipped with certain company tools and tires, will be provided.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week

• 8 hour shift
