Job Title : Structural Steel Estimator

Location : 7851 E Pr Ave, Mesa, AZ 85212

Employment Type : Full-Time, In-person

Compensation : $30 to $40 per hour

This role requires accurately estimating the cost and quantity of structural steel materials needed for projects, ensuring competitive pricing and efficient resource allocation.

Key Responsibilities

Estimate Preparation : Prepare detailed estimates for structural steel projects, including material take- offs, labor costs, and equipment usage.
Bid Coordination : Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for bid proposals.
Cost Analysis : Perform cost analysis and value engineering to optimize project efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Document Review : Review project documents, including blueprints, specifications, and contracts, to ensure all requirements are understood and accounted for in estimates.
Vendor Communication : Communicate with vendors and suppliers to obtain pricing and availability for materials and services.
Risk Assessment : Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on project outcomes.
Reporting : Prepare and present reports on project estimates, budget status, and cost variances.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in structural steel estimation or a similar role.

Demonstratable proficiency with commercial estimation software and tools.

Strong analytical and mathematical skills, with the ability to interpret complex project documents and specifications.

Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in estimating and cost analysis.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Thorough understanding of construction processes, materials, and industry standards.

Proven track record of delivering accurate and timely estimates.
