The IT intern assists the Information Technology department in day-to-day operations in supporting the technology systems for Layton Construction.
Duties
- Assists in imaging and initial computer setup for new hires and computer upgrades
- Assists in printing labels, boxes and ships new computers
- Performs basic computer troubleshooting
- Provides assistance in onsite computer setup
- Sets up new user accounts on the network and email
- Works with the help desk to provide onsite assistance to end users
- Updates the helpdesk ticketing system
- Performs basic repairs on computer systems
- Assists in pulling network cable, and installing network jacks
- Required: Sophomore, Junior, or Senior in University.
- Prior internship preferred but not necessary.
- Construction industry experience preferred.
