JOB DESCRIPTION
The Recruiting Manager role will work closely with HR and hiring managers to identify staffing needs and recruit qualified talent efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate will bring experience managing high-volume recruiting, particularly within the construction management industry, and will thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Recruiters, HR, and Hiring Managers to implement staffing strategies aligned with project schedules and workforce planning needs.
- Ensure a seamless and positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment lifecycle—from sourcing through onboarding.
- Consult with hiring managers, project teams, and executive leadership to forecast staffing needs based on active and upcoming construction projects.
- Source top-tier talent using various methods, including the company website, social media platforms, online job boards, networking, employee referrals, and participation in job fairs and industry events.
- Draft and post clear, compelling job descriptions tailored to a variety of construction roles, including field and office-based positions.
- Evaluate resumes and cover letters with an eye toward technical skills, safety certifications, and field experience relevant to construction.
- Maintain strong, collaborative relationships with hiring managers to align on candidate profiles and hiring goals.
- Conduct high-volume screening and interviewing of candidates for multiple openings across different project sites and regions.
- Assess candidate qualifications through interviews, reference checks, and alignment with project-specific requirements.
- Keep detailed records of candidate pipelines, interviews, feedback, and hiring decisions.
- Leverage applicant tracking systems to manage requisitions, track applicants, and maintain documentation in compliance with company policies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5 years of recruiting experience, preferably in the construction industry or a similarly fast-paced, project-driven environment.
- Proven experience managing high-volume recruiting efforts across a range of roles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- Creative, resourceful, and proactive in sourcing and engaging talent.
- Skilled in crafting Boolean and keyword searches to identify passive candidates.
- Experience with various interview methods, including phone screens, structured interviews, and behavioral assessments.
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems, candidate management tools, and HR databases.
- Proficiency in LinkedIn and other social media platforms for talent outreach.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to delivering a high-quality candidate experience.
