Brake Press Operator – Cleves, Ohio

We have talent and experience in metal fabrication within the industries we serve and are in search of a motivated, self-efficient individual as a Press Brake Operator.

This person will exhibit a high level of ownership and attention to detail with a commitment to workmanship, quality and accuracy of parts.
This Press Brake Operator will be based at the Cleves location. The hours are Monday – Thursday from 7:30pm-5:30am with potential for overtime requirements at times based on production schedules.
JOB SUMMARY: Under the direction of the department lead and supervisor, the responsibilities of a Brake Press Operator will include producing quality parts using a Brake Press machine, along with various other machining functions, while maintaining a high quality of workmanship to meet productivity and efficiency objectives.
Job Duties
- Bend, notch, punch and/or straighten metal to meet job requirements and quality on part
- Produce quality parts using the Brake Press machine, (verifying dimensions, angles, material gauge, part orientation and material type).
- Produce quality parts using a pem setter to insert hardware into a part, (verifying part orientation).
- Produce quality parts in various machining functions such as drilling, milling and turning.
- Operator preventative maintenance on machines, as needed.
- Set back-gauge dimensions, change dies and adjust settings as needed.
- Plan sequence of operations to achieve desired result.
- Measure workpieces and Inspect workpieces for defects.
- Communicating with the production team on job progress/questions/concerns.
- Maintain a clean and orderly shop, (garbage/scrap metal removal, sweeping, wiping down machinery)
Candidate Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
- 1 year of brake press operation experience preferred
- Ability to use various hand tools, (calipers, protractors and tape measure) preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings/blueprints and machine sketches preferred.
- Have a high level of ownership and commitment to workmanship, quality and pride in what you do!
