Maintenance Technician I

We have grown from one facility to three with locations in Cleves, Fairfield, and Harrison. We are an organization with proven ability to “outsell” our manufacturing / fabrication capacity in the thriving marketplace of contract manufacturing in the steel fabrication industry.
We are in search of a motivated self-efficient individual as a Maintenance Technician.
This Maintenance Technician I will be based in Cleves. The estimated hours are Mon – Fri from 6:00 am – 2:00 pm, or a close variation to these hours.
JOB SUMMARY: The Maintenance Technician - Level 1 is primarily responsible for performing preventive maintenance (PM) across three facilities of varying sizes and complexity, all located within a 30-mile radius of Cincinnati. This position supports the maintenance department by providing hands-on assistance to other technicians, learning through active participation, and maintaining a strong focus on safety and documentation.
The role requires a high level of attention to detail in documenting work in the CMMS and a willingness to learn and grow within the team. You must be a self-starter and have the ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
Key performance objectives:
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance tasks on various types of equipment across all three facilities; ensuring operational efficiency and adherence to safety standards.
- Assist level 2 and 3 technicians with maintenance tasks, troubleshooting and repairs, while gaining exposure to complex maintenance activities to learn and grow skills.
- Facility maintenance and repairs, such as plumbing, roofing, drywall, basic electrical, etc.
- Accurately document all maintenance activities, including PM's, repairs and observations in the CMMS system, contributing to data-driven maintenance decisions.
- Participate in training sessions, on-the-job learning, and team meetings to enhance technical skills and understanding of maintenance operations.
- Work collaboratively with others, both inside and outside of the maintenance department, and be seen as a partner in ensuring production goals and efficiencies are met.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience in manufacturing / production or similar environment required
- High school diploma is preferred, but must be 18 years of age due to level of equipment on-site.
- Experience with building maintenance, preventative maintenance, basic electrical and plumbing
- Valid driver’s license required and willing to travel to different locations and divisions dependent on equipment needs
- Must be able to work well with others, jump in where needed, and lead by example
- Basic computer skills preferred with the ability and comfort level to learn new software.
- Must be able to work overtime as needed.
