Production Assistant – Cleves, Ohio

We are the best at what we do in the steel fabrication industry with proven ability to “outsell” our manufacturing / fabrication capacity in the thriving marketplace of contract manufacturing.
We are in search of a motivated and self-efficient individual for our Production Assistant role to support operations at our Cleves location. This isn’t your average desk job - it’s a unique mix of shop floor and office work, perfect for someone who wants to learn the ropes, tackle roadblocks, and become an essential part of the team.

The hours are Monday – Thursday from 5am-3pm with overtime required, as needed.
JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting directly to the Production Manager, you’ll be a go-to resource across departments—jumping in where help is needed most. One day might involve organizing job packets and tracking down parts; the next might include helping with data entry, safety inspections, or even supporting hands-on tasks on the shop floor.
You’ll help remove bottlenecks, fill gaps, and keep production moving - whether it’s hands-on, behind the scenes, or a bit of both.
Job Duties:
- Assist with daily production flow and job tracking
- Jump in on the shop floor as needed: sorting parts, staging materials & checking status
- Help with administrative tasks such as work order entry, job close-outs, data clean-up, or document filing.
- Support safety and quality tracking, including monthly audits and checklists.
- Run errands or coordinate quick tasks that keep production from stalling.
- Communicate with leads, supervisors and the Production Manager to identify areas of need.
- Bring a “what can I do next?”, mindset every single day.
Candidate Requirements:
- Highly self-motivated and proactive – you don’t wait to be told what to do.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or in a team.
- Willing to learn and perform a wide variety of tasks and wear lots of hats.
- Great communicator, both on the shop floor and inside the office.
- Comfortable with basic computer work, (Excel, data entry, etc.)
- Someone looking to build a career, or at least test drive this industry with the right mindset.
