What are the responsibilities and job description for the MICROSOFT 365 ADMINISTRATOR position at Stock Yards Bank and Trust?
As a Microsoft 365 Administrator, your day will be filled with opportunities to partner with key stake holders across the bank and play a key role in developing and implementing the bank’s M365 strategy. The ideal candidate will have a strong background within the M365 solution, a strategic mindset and be able to identify operational efficiencies and maintain the highest level of security for the bank.
Responsibilities
Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Manage user and device accounts, to include AD synchronization, license allocation, and permissions within Microsoft 365 services. Utilize Intune to apply configuration and compliance policies and manage applications and updates on endpoints.
- Implement and monitor security policies, manage access controls, and assist Information Security with security audits and reviews.
- Configure Exchange Online mailboxes, manage distribution groups and troubleshoot email issues.
- Manage SharePoint sites, document libraries, permissions and workflows.
- Oversee Microsoft Teams channels, settings, and policies.
- Manage OneDrive storage quotas, file sharing policies, and sync settings.
- Configure, customize and maintain settings for Microsoft 365 applications.
- Work with System Admin team to ensure data is being successfully backed up and can be restored efficiently.
- Ensure adherence to audit and regulatory guidelines by implementing appropriate policies and controls.
- Analyze reports, identify potential issues, and proactively address potential performance concerns
- Diagnose and resolve user issues related to Microsoft 365 applications and services
- Must have good verbal and written English communication skills along with the ability to articulate detailed technical issues across the organization
- Ability to work evenings and weekends when necessary
- Other duties as assigned
- Attend meetings as needed
Job Requirements
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED, Bachelor Degree preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in IT administration with a specific focus on on-premises integration with Microsoft 365 environments
- Multitasking
- Organized. Able to formulate, monitor and complete a plan
- Analytical thinker and attention to detail
- Understanding of PowerShell cmdlets, functions and scripting structure
- Ability to make feasible and prudent decisions quickly
- Self-starter w/ ability to manage time efficiently
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Must be highly organized, able to work with minimal direction and able to multitask.
- Must have excellent computer skills, specifically with Microsoft Office products.
