What are the responsibilities and job description for the OVERDRAFT PRIVILEGE SPECIALIST position at Stock Yards Bank and Trust?
As an Overdraft Privilege Specialist, your day will be filled with opportunities to assist in DDA & SAV collection duties, non-ODP and ODP accounts. Customer service and collection knowledge are important while Stock Yards Bank & Trust will provide a professional environment to continually improve the candidate's skills to further his/her career goals for advancement within the banking profession.
Responsibilities
Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Communicate verbally with deposit account customers - generating outbound customer calls for account status discussions and providing customers with all available remedies directly related to resolving overdrawn accounts
- Establish mutually agreeable repayment plans with customers
- Perform general maintenance on deposit accounts
- Work daily reports as outlined with predefined procedures
- Monitor overdrawn DDA & SAV accounts
- Ensure all interactions and collection activities are correctly recorded in our case management software
- Report accounts and payments to third party vendors as necessary
- Provide Branch support for Overdraft Privilege product
- Utilize vendor software for customer letters and notifications
- Educate customers on recommended use of our Overdraft Privilege Product and provide insights and recommendations to mitigate overdraft issues.
- Crosstrain within the department and assist co-workers as dictated by Department Supervisor and/or Manager
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers and all levels of management
Job Requirements
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- Bank or customer service experience preferred
- Proficient in Word and Excel
- Professional phone etiquette
- Ability to work with difficult customers in a professional manner
- Follow through with daily work
- Detail oriented
