The Benefits Coordinator is responsible for the administration of benefits programs; medical, dental, vision, life, retirement, LTD, STD, KSOP and all other employee benefits programs. Prepares and distributes written and verbal information to inform employees of benefits programs including New Hire Orientation. Analyzes existing benefits policies and compares the policies to prevailing practices. Evaluates services, coverage and options available. Reconciliation of bills. Dispute Resolution. Employee liaison to vendors. Manages FMLA and Personal leave.

Responsibilities
Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Retirement Administration
- Provide regular communication and education to employees
- Plan and lead 401k enrollment meetings
- Assist with the auditing process and auditors.
- Enter all deferral changes in payroll
- Ensure timely contributions are made to Voya each pay period
- Coordinates and prepares compliance reporting
- Audits UKG against Voya to insure contributions percentages are correct
- Responsible for payment insurance invoices
- Serves as the HIPPA Privacy Officer.
- Maintains communication with insurance brokers and providers.
- Tracks all plan issues using the data to improve employee satisfaction and plan improvements.
- Provide regular communication and education to employees.
- Participate in the annual benefit renewal and negotiation
- Coordinates new employee benefits orientation and enrollment
- Participate in Open Enrollment process
- Annually collects benefit information to conduct a competitive market analysis for renewals.
- Manage Cobra process - ensure all premiums are collected and allocated to the appropriate GL, send all Cobra new hire and termination notifications
- Complete monthly Insurance recons
- Work closely with Payroll to ensure timely and accurate leave compensation
- Coordinate communication between the employee on leave and direct supervisor
- Manage required documentation and notification for all employee leave
- Ensure Life events are processed correctly
- Special projects as assigned
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferred in Accounting or Human Resources
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in employee benefits administration
- Knowledge of laws governing employee benefit administration
- Dayforce HRIS experience preferred
- Proficient in all Microsoft Applications, including Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Accounting experience preferred
- Ability to function independently in a multi-task environment, as well as part of a team
- Comfortable communicating with all levels of management and employees
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Proven presentation and facilitation skills
- Strong writing proficiency
- Creativity and patience
- Ability to work with confidential information
