Responsibilities
Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Problem solving with customer requests and inquiries
- Assess customer needs and recommend bank products
- Make decisions in the absence of the lender
- Answer phones and greet customers
- Communicate effectively with customers, internal and external, either verbally or in writing
- Assist customers with all transactional needs between accounts, to include, but not limited to, account transfers and wire requests.
- Partner with all business lines to service customer’s banking needs, such as opening accounts and account maintenance
- Identify any cross selling opportunities
- Assist in the preparation, maintenance, and servicing of loans, which includes ordering any supporting documentation from outside service providers
- Knowledge of the bank’s loan policy and departmental procedures
- Create customer profiles in lending software and assist in preparation of approval document
- Determine appropriate approval authorities required for all loan requests
- Ensure all documents are accurate and ready for closing
- Close loans in lender’s absence
- Fund loans according to documentation within the loan package
- Submit closed loans for processing in a timely manner
- Manage all exception reports by notifying clients, vendors, or lenders of needed documentation
- Submit required, collected financial statements to Credit Analysts for processing
- Provide administrative support to the department as needed
- Assist in organizing departmental events as needed
- Make decisions pertaining to customer accounts within limits set by department
- Other duties as assigned
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- College Degree preferred
- Minimum of 3 year recent experience in related field or professional work experience in financial services industry
- Knowledge of basic lending fundamentals and loan documentation
- Communicate effectively through writing and speaking as appropriate for the needs of the audience
- Capability to communicate and collaborate with all levels of management and employees
- Demonstrates active listening skills
- Attentive to detail
- Ability to maintain customer satisfaction and generate positive client relationships
