As a Document Distribution Specialist, your day will be filled with opportunities to sort and process incoming mail received by the DDC from internal and external resources. Scans paper documents into imaged format in order to route electronically. This includes but is not limited to Loan and Deposit documentation, Lockbox, Loan and Credit card payments. The DDC Specialist ensures all incoming work is imaged and delivered to customers (internal and external) in accordance with Departmental Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Attention to detail and accuracy is important while Stock Yards Bank & Trust will provide a professional environment to continually improve the candidate’s skills to further his/her career goals for advancement within the banking profession.

Responsibilities
Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Log incoming work into tracking database, assigning it to various departments for processing
- Prepping, scanning, indexing and quality checking of work performed during the full cycle document imaging process
- Open, balance, and process all Lockbox and internal payments daily
- Set up new Lockbox customers for reviewing their receivables online and research deposits when inquiries arise
- Maintain centralized storage of payment and operational documents according to established retention/ destruction procedures
- Meet productivity demands and quality standards
- Index documentation received in branch scan queues and route to internal users
- Maintain and reconcile inventory of Vendor, Escrow, Savings, IRA, Christmas Club and Cashier’s checks. Print, balance and mail checks issued daily
- Conduct special projects/audits when necessary as directed by DDC Manager
- Assist with annual review and development of new departmental procedures
- All other duties assigned
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent, college preferred
- 2 years of Bank or financial services operation experience preferred
- Knowledge of bank policies, procedures and federal regulations preferred
- Experience with balancing/ accounting knowledge preferred
- Employees are expected to represent Stock Yards Bank & Trust in a professional manner to customers and outside contacts
- Employees must have excellent interpersonal communication skills, consisting of the ability to write and speak effectively to others.
- Employees must be a productive team player, with the ability to learn, apply training and comprehend policies and procedures
