Responsibilities
Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Respond to investment questions, leveraging working knowledge of trust and investment concepts
- Exercise independent judgment regarding account matters, such as client requests or questions, disbursement requests, determining appropriate documents needed; interpreting trust documents.
- Provide trading assistance for Investment Advisors, as appropriate.
- Effectively communicate with internal and external clients, verbally and in writing
- Draft client communications using knowledge and experience with trust and investment concepts.
- Anticipate client and Advisor needs in all situations; proactively identify problem areas, research problems and resolve issues.
- Expertly maintain accounts from set up to closing, appropriately alerting Advisor of important changes and/or issues.
- Prepare presentations for existing clients
- Assist Advisors with required client annual reviews and clearing exceptions on accounts
- Maintain service standard activities, COI activities, and other required calling activities
- Perform various administrative client support tasks
- Serve as a resource to Client Specialists for onboarding, training, and routine questions.
- Establish a level of trust and confidence with the client, in order to be client’s second point of contact in addition to the Advisor
- Serve as primary Advisor for client relationships, as appropriate.
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5 years work experience in a Trust department or investment-related field
- Excellent client-facing demeanor and commitment to service
- Proficient computer application skills in word processing and spreadsheets (Word, Excel)
- Self-motivated and dependable
- Ability to quickly learn trust system and new technology
- Working knowledge of investment concepts
- Independent decision making ability within limits set by the Wealth Management & Trust Department
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with all levels of personnel and clients
- Excellent grammar, spelling and business writing skills
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Ability to prioritize and organize heavy volumes of work
- Ability to function independently in a multi-task environment, as well as part of a team
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
