Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service to all customers
- Be courteous and polite
- Operate cash register and handle cash and credit card transactions accurately
- Process customer returns and exchanges
- Assist customers with product selection and provide recommendations based on their needs
- Upsell additional products or services to maximize sales opportunities
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
- Stock shelves
Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Attention to detail
- Prior experience operating a cash register and handling cash transactions preferred
- Knowledge of point-of-sale (POS) systems is a plus, but willing to train the right person
- Strong sales skills with the ability to upsell products or services
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
