The Human Resource Assistant is responsible for a wide range of HR related duties including, but not limited to, coordinating with Resourcing Edge (REI) for: payroll, compensation, recruiting, interviewing, staffing, performance, and training, working with managers throughout the company on terminations, HR policies and procedures, organizational development, along with benefits enrollment and management.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Absolute confidentiality in all aspects of the job.
- Assist with payroll functions including web clock, answering employee questions, assisting in correcting web clock errors, seeking OT approvals, reminders for PTO approvals, locking payroll Maintains accurate records of active job openings and received applications; manages internal and external job postings.
- Maintaining current and properly classified job descriptions, organizational charts, and related documents.
- Maintaining various HRIS systems.
- Manages permissions, access, personalization, and similar system operations and settings for new hires.
- Assists with the preparation of the performance review process.
- Assists with the preparation of the annual employee handbook process.
- Assists with the preparation of NMLS process.
- Assists with the preparation of Notary Public process, including ordering bonds
- Preparing/amending HR documents.
- Implementing and evaluating Human Resources policies, programs, and practices with guidance from REI and Human Resources Manager.
- Provides support for employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Maintaining compliance with Federal, State, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices, reviewing policies to maintain compliance.
- Maintaining knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, new technologies in Human Resources and talent management.
- Direct communication and coordination on various Payroll, Benefits and HR services with PEO.
- Maintaining various 3rd party vendor relationships.
- File maintenance duties as well as various Human Resources administrative duties.
- Supporting bank compliance efforts and ongoing training.
- Follow established bank policy and procedures.
- Maintains confidentiality of all Employee Records and Information.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations. 2
