Inventory Procurement and Receiving Specialist
Turkey Stockyard LLC in Litchfield, CT is seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Procurement and Receiving Specialist to manage purchasing processes, evaluate suppliers, and monitor procurement activities.
The ideal candidate will oversee the preparation, submission, and maintenance of purchase orders, collaborate with various departments, and maintain accurate purchasing records.
The successful candidate will also analyze purchasing trends, manage budgets, and ensure seamless operations by coordinating outgoing shipments and communicating effectively with vendors.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing, submitting, and maintaining purchase orders for materials and supplies
- Collaborating with departments to gather and process organizational orders
- Documenting purchase requests and submitting them for formal approval
- Monitoring delivery statuses and ensuring timely resolution of issues
- Maintaining detailed records of all purchases and organizing purchasing files
Additional requirements include:
- Processing adjustments, administering missing assets, and monitoring inter-building transfers
- Investigating and resolving pick exceptions, packing issues, and SKU consolidations
- Creating, monitoring, and reconciling cycle counts, including investigations and inventory adjustments
- Updating and maintaining item masters
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Proficiency in accounting software systems
- Demonstrated knowledge of accounting functions
- Experience with accounts payable and budget processes
- Expertise in buying processes and purchasing functions
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Relevant certifications in purchasing or supply chain management are advantageous
