What You Will Be Doing
As a Finance Business Partner, you will play an essential role in driving better business performance influencing business decisions and promoting strategy. You will be responsible for the Americas tradelanes, acting as a sparring partner to the Business Director, Trading Managers, and Commercial Manager for all questions related to the historical and forward-looking financial performance of voyages. In doing so, He/She will build and maintain strong relationships within the Finance Partner team collaborating and contributing to team goals

Key Responsibilities
- Build strong relationships throughout the business to instill confidence and trust with key stakeholders both at senior management level and within their respective teams.
- Leverage your strength in the numbers and business acumen to identify trends and patterns, deliver insightful analysis into how business can improve underlying performance; Provide an assessment of underlying risks, which should be taken into account for making business decisions.
- Communicate your observations in a simple and clear manner, that can be acted upon.
- Develop and implement various digital tools to monitor key indicators, provide detailed analysis, and capture insights.
- Master a 'Continuous Improvement' mindset by constantly keeping focus on key priorities, optimizing processes by eliminating waste and improving efficiencies, being strong to push back on non-value-added requests.
- Assume oversight responsibility to ensure reliability of financial reporting from ERP system (IMOS); case specific tasks are outsourced to Global Shared Services Center (GSSC), oversee efforts of teams in GSSC and intervene directly with Business when necessary.
- Maintain a robust, accurate and efficient Management reporting system providing detailed P&L analysis to support internal and external financial reporting including, but not limited to, month and year end process.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/ International Business/ Business Administration/ Project Management.
- Master’s Degree in Finance or Business Administration or comparable degree.
- At least 7 years experience in Finance, preferably in related industry (Shipping, Logistics, Oil/Gas/Chemicals).
- Previous experience working across various functions and managing stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills; excellent relationship builder and communicator, collaborative and able to challenge at the senior management level.
- A bigger picture mentaility; ability to innovate and think out of the box.
