Stoltzfus Meats is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Bulk Foods and Produce Manager to oversee the operations of our bulk foods and produce departments. This position ensures product quality, department efficiency, and outstanding customer service, contributing to the overall success of our retail location.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the bulk foods and produce sections, including inventory management, merchandising, and cleanliness.
- Ensure all products meet quality standards, monitor freshness, and manage rotation schedules to minimize waste.
- Lead, train, and schedule team members; foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Provide excellent customer service, respond to inquiries, and address customer concerns promptly and professionally.
- Monitor stock levels, place orders with suppliers, and track deliveries to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Ensure adherence to food safety and sanitation regulations, including HACCP standards and company policies.
- Analyze sales data and implement strategies to achieve department performance goals.
- Share responsibility for closing the store on a rotating basis, ensuring all end-of-day procedures are completed accurately and securely.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in retail management, preferably in bulk foods, produce, or related areas.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various temperature environments.
- Proficiency in basic computer systems and software for inventory and scheduling.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in merchandising and visual display strategies.
- Familiarity with local produce and seasonal product cycles.
