We are assisting our client in their search for a skilled, driven and strategic Vice President, Measurement to join their team.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Vice President (VP), Measurement holds strategic and operational responsibility for vision, strategic direction, and organizational mission for the measurement of programs and impact. The position reports to the Chief Program Officer and is part of the Leadership Team that drives overall strategy for the organization. The VP, Measurement, is accountable and responsible for conceiving of and leading cross-functional projects. They advise in strategic framing of the organization, represent the organization externally, assume budgetary responsibility, and lead priorities to reach organizational goals. They also have direct supervisory responsibilities and manage the Measurement Team.
KEY RESULTS:
Vision, Direction, and Mission for Measurement of Programs and Impact:
- Lead all efforts to measure and better understand the impact of our work and pursue continuous improvement, in alignment with the Strategic Plan
- Help ensure ongoing programmatic excellence, centering measurement and equity, in service of Theory of Change and Key Performance Indicators
- Provide organization-wide leadership for commitment internally and externally to center measurement and impact in all that we do and developing strategic initiatives that contribute to the success of all staff and volunteers and engagement of the diverse populations we serve
Cross-Functional Leadership Responsibility: Serve as a measurement expert across the organization, with our network and partners, and in the field, which may include:
- Acting as a resource to staff on updated data, research, or methods that can enhance the effectiveness of our work
- Supporting equity-informed data and evaluation of programs, initiatives, and outputs
- Working with other Leadership Team members to develop systems to ensure consistent, high-quality project management and cross-functional collaboration
- Developing the necessary systems, processes, and tools to better support the facilitation, collection, and sharing of knowledge that is generated by the Measurement Team
- Working collaboratively with the Leadership Team to integrate cross-departmental activities and functions
People Leadership and Management:
- Attract, develop, coach, and retain high-performing team members, enabling them to elevate their level of responsibility, span of control, and performance
- Provide leadership in development of inter-team communication and cohesion, sustaining culture and supporting staff during organizational growth
External Representation:
- Serve as a thought partner for the Chief Program Officer and other VPs in strategic positioning and framing of the organization within the field-at-large
- Deliver presentations, in-person and virtual trainings, issue briefs, position statements and other written materials, and represent the organization at key national conferences and meetings, to leverage opportunities for enhanced leadership and growth within the field
- Support dissemination of organizational learning with a broad range of communities
- Manage relationships with partner organizations
Budgetary Responsibility:
- Demonstrate consistent quality of finance and administration, fundraising, communications and systems; recommend timelines and resources needed to achieve measurement goals
- Expand revenue to support existing measurement activities and goals and future growth; cultivate existing relationships and develop new funder relationships

COMPENSATION:
This position offers an initial salary of $124,000 - $144,666 along with robust benefits. The starting pay for this position is equal to others at the same level throughout the organization. Candidates whose experience meets both the minimum and preferred qualifications may be considered for a starting salary that exceeds the current amount. The role sits within our clients Level 7 salary band, and as such, has the potential to grow to $186,000 over time. FLSA Status: Exempt.
