What are the responsibilities and job description for the Farm Hand/Equipment Operator position at Stone Beck Farm?
Small horse and cattle farm on the north side of Lexington looking for a reliable person to assist in farm operations.
Duties include but not limited to:
- Farm maintenance and equipment operation- mowing, weed eating, land clearing, fence repair, equipment maintenance and basic repair, truck and trailer operation and general facility maintenance.
- Horse care-Turning in and out of horses, cleaning stalls, feeding, medication administration, grooming, holding for vet/farrier, and other equine related care
- Cattle- feed and water, assist in working cattle when needed
- Structure maintenance, organization, and updates on and off farm
- Other general farm tasks
Ideal candidate would be someone that is a reliable, detail-oriented, self starter and able to accomplish projects independently and efficiently. Must be able to lift 50lbs regularly and up to 100lbs on occasion. Valid drives license is required.
Position has opportunity to grow as farm grows.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 48 per week
