What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pre-Employment Instructor position at Stone Belt Arc, Inc.?
Stone Belt is seeking a full-time Pre-ETS (Employment Transition Services) Instructor to join our growing team. This unique opportunity would allow you to gain experience supporting individuals with disabilities aged 14 and up. You’ll be assisting them in developing life and social skills to promote their independence and integration into the community!
In this role, you’ll serve as an instructor in our Pre-Employment Transition program, which is geared to help younger individuals (14-22) develop valuable employment skills, and prepare them for life after high school. You’ll coordinate with students, teachers, and families to develop customized plans of needed services for each individual. These services can include career counseling, job exploration, work experiences, and promoting self-advocacy.
In addition to working in the Pre-ETS program, you’ll also have the opportunity to support many other individuals that are ready to enter the workforce. You serve as a coach to the clients you’ll work with by helping them work on skills like interviewing, workplace demeanor, and more! Ultimately, we aim to help our clients obtain compatible employment with businesses in their community.
Qualified applicants for this role will ideally possess a Bachelor’s degree in a field related to business, and two years of experience in training people with disabilities. However, candidates with a combination of education and relevant work experience will also be considered!
At Stone Belt, our clients come from all walks of life - and so does our team. We hire great people from a wide variety of backgrounds, because we know EVERYONE has unique perspectives and skills they can use to make our team better.
