Are you a dynamic and compassionate leader with a passion for supporting individuals with disabilities? Stone Belt, a non-profit in Bloomington, Indiana, is looking for a visionary Director to oversee and develop our Supervised Group Living programs in Bloomington and Bedford, IN.
As the Director of Supervised Group Living, you will play a key role in shaping the future of our residential services, ensuring that our clients with disabilities lead fulfilling, self-determined lives. You will be responsible for managing a talented team, ensuring high-quality service delivery, and fostering collaboration across departments and community partners.
What You’ll Do:
- Leadership & Staff Development: Lead, supervise, and support a dedicated team of program coordinators and residential staff, ensuring they have the tools, training, and guidance to excel in providing person-centered services.
- Client-Centered Programs: Oversee the development and implementation of residential programs that foster independence, social engagement, and community integration for adults with disabilities.
- Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with internal teams and external community agencies to deliver comprehensive services that enhance the well-being of each client.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to state and federal regulations, as well as CARF, Medicaid, and other quality standards, ensuring clients receive the highest standard of care.
- Strategic Planning & Budgeting: Develop and monitor program goals, objectives, and budgets to ensure effective and efficient use of resources.
What You’ll Bring:
- Experience: 8 years in social services, with at least 1 year working directly with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities. Leadership experience in a non-profit or similar setting is a must.
- Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., sociology, psychology, special education), or equivalent experience.
- QIDP Certification: Experience as or eligibility to become a Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP) is required, ensuring a strong foundation in developmental disabilities and person-centered practices.
- Exceptional Leadership: A proven track record of leading teams, managing complex programs, and making sound decisions in challenging situations.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities, with a talent for listening, building trust, and adapting to diverse audiences.
- Organizational Skills: A knack for managing multiple priorities, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with all relevant documentation and regulations.
