When no distributor in the late 90s would accept Stone's hop-forward beers, the brewery self-distributed and brought along other craft brands as well to form an impressive portfolio for Southern California. Summary
The Driver position plays a critical role within Stone Distributing Company's transportation team. This role is responsible for driving a box truck over an established route to deliver beer and merchandise, render services, and collect money from customers.
Responsibilities
- Accurately verifies, arranges, and safely secures load for designated deliveries at the start of each day and after each delivery.
- Safely drives box truck to deliver Stone and other specialty beer and / or products to the customer's place of business, i.e., grocery stores, restaurants, bars, liquor stores.
- Collects payments from customers, accurately records transactions on customer receipt, and securely deposits once returned to the depot.
- Picks up and records empty kegs or unsold merchandise per special instructions from the Transportation Supervisor.
- Performs daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure trucks are kept clean and well maintained per maintenance instructions.
- Follows all road regulations and drives safely and courteously as a representative of Stone Distributing.
