OVERVIEW
The Quality Control effectively manages the quality maintained though out the manufacturing processes. The QC individual monitors the manufacturing and production processes to ensure that parts and equipment are made within the print requirements and specifications to ensure they meet stringent quality standards. The quality controller inspects, verifies and maintains test equipment and provides quality control reports. while also
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitoring and inspecting output parts/products including the 1st part out in the CNC area.
- Reviewing blueprints and specifications to compare to produced parts and products against.
- Inspecting output samples using industry-appropriate methods, such as comparing to standards, measuring dimensions and examining functionality.
- Recording inspection results by completing reports, summarizing re-works and wastes and inputting data into quality database or report.
- Training the production team on quality control measures to improve product quality excellence.
- Proposing improvements to the production process to achieve quality improvement.
- Monitoring the use of equipment to ensure it is safe and discard any that do not meet requirements.
- Updating job knowledge by engaging in educational opportunities and regular training.
- Keep measurement equipment operating accurately by following calibration requirements and getting repairs.
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Using gauges such as calipers and micrometers to measure parts and products.
- Collecting and compiling statistical quality data to make recommendations and meet company goals.
- Assisting in the development of test methods and inspection plans
- Determining the causes of product defects and reworks.
- Verifying all equipment is calibrated correctly.
- Ensuring that products meet the required standards and specifications consistently.
- Monitoring the progress of corrective action when product defects are identified ensuring due dates are met.
- Conducting product inspections as well as evaluating data to determine the possible causes.
- Performing testing/inspections when required to verify that corrective actions are implemented effectively.
- Interpret data and measure parameters to determine quality deviations and the causes of these deviations.
- Reviewing test results and work instructions to ensure that the testing is performed without error.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2 years’ experience in a quality assurance role in manufacturing.
- Ability to assist in managing and meeting timelines.
- Capable of handling complex, detailed and multiple tasks simultaneously to accomplish all the tasks.
- Ability to read and comprehend blueprints & drawings while exercising good judgement.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and evolving work environment.
