Brygga Plates & Pours is looking for dedicated and personable Banquet Servers to join our team for the summer season. As a Banquet Server, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional service at various events, including weddings, corporate events, and private parties. If you're experienced in hospitality and enjoy working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, we want you on our team to help create memorable experiences for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Event Setup: Assist with the setup of banquet rooms, including arranging tables, chairs, linens, and décor according to the event's specifications.
• Customer Service: Greet event guests with warmth and professionalism, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. Respond to guest inquiries and needs in a timely and courteous manner.
• Food and Beverage Service: Serve food and beverages to event guests according to event guidelines, ensuring each guest receives an exceptional experience. Be attentive to dietary restrictions and special requests.
• Order Accuracy: Deliver food and drinks accurately, ensuring that all guest requests and dietary preferences are communicated to the kitchen.
• Timeliness and Efficiency: Serve food and beverages promptly, maintaining the flow of service throughout the event. Monitor guests’ needs and address them without delay.
• Event Coordination: Communicate effectively with event managers, chefs, and fellow staff members to ensure smooth service. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues quickly and professionally.
• Upselling and Recommendations: Suggest additional food and beverage options to guests, when appropriate, to enhance the overall experience.
• Cleaning and Maintenance: Keep event spaces clean and organized during and after events. Ensure that any spills, crumbs, or trash are cleared promptly to maintain a neat environment.
• Post-Event Breakdown: Assist with post-event cleanup, including clearing dishes, breaking down tables, and resetting spaces for the next event.
• Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other banquet staff to ensure all event service tasks are completed efficiently and with attention to detail.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a server or banquet server in a hospitality, hotel, or restaurant setting is preferred.
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on providing an excellent guest experience.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy trays and equipment (up to 25 lbs).
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
• A passion for hospitality and a desire to create memorable experiences for guests.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with large events and high-volume service.
• Knowledge of banquet setup and service procedures.
• Familiarity with wine, beer, and cocktail service.
• Previous experience in upscale or fine dining settings (preferred but not required).
