Job Overview
Stone Hill Construction is seeking a highly organized, flexible, motivated, and detail-oriented Construction Estimator to prepare bid packages for various size Commercial and Industrial projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that proposals are completed on time, within scope/budget, and aligned with our strategic objectives. This role requires strong leadership skills, effective communication (both verbally and digitally), and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment all while maintaining a positive attitude and being a team player.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for full project ownership including, but not limited to:
- Ability to multi-task between multiple projects and tasks.
- Excellent mathematical, record keeping, reading comprehension, and organizational skills.
- Ability to analyze drawings, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare detailed time, cost, and labor estimates for projects. Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment, subcontractors/vendors, and materials) from start to finish with budget in mind.
- Prepare bid packages as well as presentational packages with the pre-construction team.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure project alignment and collaboration.
- Maintain good relationships with Clients, Architects, Engineers, Subcontractors, Vendors, and Building Officials.
- Conduct design meetings with stakeholders to provide updates and gather feedback.
- Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and vendors to reach profitable agreements for all parties.
- Knowledge of building codes and their applications.
- Implement quality management practices to ensure project deliverables meet Stone Hill Construction established standards.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Construction Estimator or Project Manager in the construction industry. Minimum three (3) years of experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel. Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint desired but not required.
- Experience in program management and development is desired but not required.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- A background in program design or implementation will be considered an asset, but not a requirement.

Schedule and Location:
· Monday – Friday (occasional Saturday)
· 40-50 Hours per week.
· In office and on road work location. NO remote work.
