Summary/Role:
The fertilizer technician is responsible for applying fertilizer, weed control, and pesticides to residential and commercial properties. Other roles included are landscaping, aerating, equipment maintenance, deliveries, and shop upkeep.

Responsibilities:
- Tracking and completing routes in Mobile Live in Workwave.
- Gate time of 20 minutes or less.
- Hours and photos submitted daily in Synked-up.
- Practice and maintain a clean safety record (employee accidents, equipment/vehicle damage).
- After Action Reports filled out and submitted daily.
- Maintain all necessary liscenses.
- Stay on schedule and hit training goals
- Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Job Duties:
- Manage the execution of fertilizer route.
- Manage inventory of fertilizer, seed, pesticides, and weed control at shop.
- Maintain applicator equipment, trailer, truck, and aerator.
- Manage safety, quality and productivity of work at sites and/or shop/yard
- Provide customers with detailed information about services and recommendations for lawn care.
- Accurate electronic recordings of all services within mobile apps.
- Assist in the preparation of job sites prior to the beginning of a project
- Hold all necessary applicator licenses.
- Operate various tools and equipment, including: heavy equipment, chainsaws, jackhammers, laser levels, measurement equipment, shovels, hammers, drills, etc.
- Perform and delegate preventative maintenance on tools and equipment by conducting inspections, lubricating, and cleaning on a daily basis
- Read and interpret blueprints, structural drawings, and specifications to delegate/complete work activities
- Maintain and enforce standards of cleanliness and organization in assigned trucks, trailers, equipment, jobsites, and shop/yard areas
- Ensure that all work activities are carried out in a safe and efficient manner, and that all crew members are in compliance with government and company PPE standards
- Train new employees on site on tools, equipment, and best practices.
- Communicate with customers in a polite and courteous manner
Requirements:
- 1 Years of applicator experience preferred.
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- Capable of operating required equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner
- Effective communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
- Time management skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Knowledge of specific materials, methods, tools and equipment required to complete various landscape/construction practices
- Speak, read, and write English
- Carry and use a smart phone or data-enabled device for communication and reporting

Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
