What are the responsibilities and job description for the Guest Services Ticket Cashier position at Stone Mountain Park?
The Ticketing Cashier operates in various ticketing booth locations at Stone Mountain Park to include selling various tickets and Mountain Memberships, and providing general information and supplies such as maps/informational brochures to guests.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Additional duties may be assigned. Management retains the discretion to change or add to the duties of this position at any time.- Explain and sell the benefits of park memberships/annual passes
- Explain ticket prices , attractions schedules, and park special events
- Smile and treat guests with friendliness and respect with an enthusiastic spirit to work
- Provide guests with information regarding activities conducted at the Park
- Provide guests with directions to attractions, food and merchandise venues, offices, and special events
- Communicate correct product information to guests regarding coupons, special offers, and upcoming events
- Responsible for reviewing the Daily Adventure Plan for special events and Park operation information, schedules, and locations to ensure that accurate information is provided to guests
- Assist individuals or groups with tickets and brochures
- Collect and secure money from tickets sold, providing guests with correct change
- Keep records of money collected and tickets sold
- Prepare till and tickets at the beginning of the day
- Balance registers at the end of each shift
- Maintain brochure and supply inventory in ticket booths
- Maintain clean working environment
- Maintain a working relationship with other departments to ensure up-to-date product knowledge
- Assist in other areas of the department such as Gates and Guest Services
- This position requires the employee to receive credit card information, make deposits, and initiate a refund
- PCI certification must be obtained within the first 30 days of employment
- All other duties as assigned

- Must understand, read, write and speak the English language

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent education preferred
- Minimum of one month experience in hospitality, customer service, or theme park industry preferred
- Previous cash handling experience preferred
- Previous sales experience preferred
- Bilingual is preferred
