What are the responsibilities and job description for the ACCOUNTING CLERK position at Stone Mountain Toyota?
Stone Mountain Toyota is seeking an Accounting Clerk to join our busy Office team. The right individual will need to have a positive attitude and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. This is a full-time position, approximately 40 hours per week.
Responsibilities may include the following:
- Reconcile and post daily deposit to the general ledger
- Stock in New and Used vehicle inventory
- Occasionally perform routine entries to the general ledger relating to New, Used and Wholesale billing
- Submit 3rd party warranties and reconcile monthly statement
- Handle all warranty and aftermarket cancellations
- Process lien payoffs and we-owes
- Post daily funding notices to general ledger
- Maintain and reconcile accounting schedules on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
- Handle miscellaneous clerical tasks as assigned, to include light filing
- Assist with month end close
- Assist with accounts receivable/payable and special projects, as necessary
Accounting Clerk Requirements:
- Basic accounting background
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of billing and/or accounting experience
- Automotive dealership experience is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with ADP/CDK Dealership Management System preferred
- Professional and positive demeanor
- Willingness to do more than is required
- Fast learner
