We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our team in a fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for providing exceptional customer service and will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests in our new supper club and lounge. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that each dining experience is memorable, from taking orders to serving food and beverages.
Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Take accurate food and drink orders using the POS system (Toast).
- Provide menu recommendations and upsell additional items to enhance the dining experience.
- Ensure all food handling and sanitation standards are met at all times.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining attention to detail.
- Process payments accurately using the cash register and handle cash transactions responsibly.
- Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication regarding orders and special requests.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including sanitizing tables and utensils after each use.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Server in a fine dining or fast-paced restaurant setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food handling practices and sanitation standards.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
- Proficient in basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Exceptional communication skills with a focus on customer service and sales techniques.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
