What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Stone Plastics & Manufacturing?
Stone Plastics is currently seeking outstanding individuals to join our Maintenance Team! We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to support our facility. You will train with the other Maintenance team members to adequately prepare you for your role.
Primary Function:
- Support functions on the manufacturing floor and resolution of technical problems.
- Assure equipment is consistent and available for production.
- Provide consistent equipment/facilities.
What Success Looks Like:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining consistent and capable equipment. This needs to be done with frequency and with a technical way of thinking. They are also responsible for repairing equipment. This needs to be done with systematic problem solving to ensure that the root cause of the issue is addressed. The Maintenance Technician is the front line for equipment needs/issues and needs to be able to communicate those items. The Maintenance Technician demonstrates solving problems and implements a sense of urgency in issue resolution.
Experience:
- Hydraulics: 3 years (Preferred)
- Electrical wiring: 3 years (Preferred)
- Plastics injection molding: 3 years (Preferred)
- Robotics: 3 years (Preferred)
Desired Qualifications:
- Strong Mechanical background.
- Hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills with some PLC experience and HVAC.
- Demonstrated safety work practices and ethic.
- Ability to problem solve.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Detail oriented, meticulous.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Production maintenance experience, preferred.
- Extensive mechanical repair or building experience, preferred.
- Hi-Lo License.
- Journeyman License in a mechanical electrical trade, preferred.
Physical Demands
Heavy work at times and confined spaces.
