Job Description
Stone Point’s internship program emphasizes the apprenticeship model by enabling Summer Analysts to work alongside our private equity professionals to complete sector research, perform financial analyses, run financial models, execute business due diligence and carry out competitive analyses.

• Opportunity to understand the fundamentals of investing across the capital structure and industries
• Gain in-depth understanding of traditional financial institutions, financial service providers, real estate and healthcare firms
• Exposure to our Credit, Capital Markets, Investor Relations, Finance and Compliance & Legal teams
Stone Point provides training, mentorship, speaker sessions and social events where Summer Analysts interact with colleagues at every level throughout the firm.
Responsibilities
• New Deals: includes preparing marketing materials, drafting initial proposals and letters of intent, preparing financial models and projected returns, drafting initial memos to the Investment Committee
• Deal Execution: includes performing financial and operating due diligence, writing Investment Committee memos, drafting term sheets, conducting reference checks
• Portfolio Company Projects: includes working on strategic initiatives, reporting materials, valuations and update letters
• Industry/Sector Work: includes overview presentations on new and existing sectors, updating research binders and developing calling lists for new sectors
