Position Overview: AP/AR Manager
As the AP/AR Manager, you will take the lead in managing the team responsible for overseeing all incoming and outgoing financial transactions. Your role will involve providing effective leadership, setting team objectives, managing month-end responsibilities, and collaborating across departments to ensure a seamless workflow. Moreover, you will guide the team to embrace company values while delivering outstanding customer service and maintaining financial accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the AP/AR team, establishing clear objectives and ensuring team accountability.
- Provide mentorship and guidance, recognizing outstanding performance and addressing areas that need improvement.
- Foster a collaborative and positive working environment.
- Doing invoicing and credit for returns .
- Doing the physical Inventory every quarter
- Oversee customer payment processes, ensuring timely invoicing, collections, and cash applications.
- Resolve customer inquiries and payment issues promptly to ensure an exceptional customer experience.
- Manage delinquent accounts and coordinate collection strategies to minimize bad debt.
- Collaborate with General Managers to address slow-paying accounts and enhance collection success.
- Ensure timely and accurate payments to vendors in accordance with payment terms and company controls.
- Maintain strong vendor relationships and ensure clear communication about payment policies.
- Work closely with accounting to ensure accurate bill coding, proper accruals at month-end, and maintain necessary records.
- Partner with accounting to optimize cash flow, coordinating the timing of significant outflows.
- Continuously identify opportunities for workflow improvements across departments to enhance financial accuracy and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements while maintaining clear and organized records.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and enhance experiences for customers and vendors alike.
Qualifications:
- A degree in a related field.
- Experience in office management.
- At least 3 years of proven experience in accounts payable/receivable management or a similar role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and financial compliance.
- Proficiency in accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite, and financial reporting tools.
