Position Summary: The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing the general ledger, ensuring the accuracy of financial statements, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements. This role involves overseeing the monthly close process, preparing financial reports, and collaborating with leadership to support financial planning. The ideal candidate has a strong background in accounting principles, internal controls, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the general ledger accounting functions, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial records for multiple entities.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and journal entries.
- Maintain and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Supervise accounting staff, providing guidance and performance management.
- Ensure proper classification of revenue, expenses, and project costs.
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes affecting accounting practices.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in general ledger accounting, financial reporting, or corporate accounting.

- Experience in multi-entity accounting, including intercompany transactions and consolidations.
- Experience with accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
- Ability to analyze financial data and prepare reports with accuracy and insight.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work under deadlines.
