Job Title: Assistant Operations Manager
Location: Harrisonburg, VA

Essential Functions:
Daily Coordination of Operations Functions 50%
- Always interact with customers and coworkers in a positive, courteous, and upbeat attitude, with a primary focus on customer service and satisfaction. Our goal is to personally greet each repeat contractor by name.
- Pack and receive material, leading the yard operations team by example
- Reports to Operations Manager on intraday basis to coordinate shipping/receiving and inventory activities.
- Hold co-workers accountable when creating errors in shipping, receiving, and/or inventory
- Strive to know all products we stock and how they might be used.
- Organize and run “Dispatch Delivery” in Bistrack as needed
- Fill in for Operations Manager as needed, guiding Operations team to deliver exceptional service.
- Utilize Delivery Review to monitor and correct errors.
- Working with Purchasing, coordinate weekly/monthly cycle counts.
- Accountable for all yard functions and personnel.
Leadership and Vision 15%
- Live out and implement the company mission throughout the operations
- In coordination with the Operations Manager, guide, motivate, and encourage operations staff to accomplish the mission with the core values of PRAISE
o Celebrate and recognize staff seen carrying out the mission of Stoneburner
Customer Service 25%
- Ensure staff are delivering friendly, professional, and timely service to all customers
- Work closely with Sales to ensure a well-executed customer experience
- Ensure the daily yard captain is being responsive and delivering exceptional service
Efficiencies and Reporting 10%
- Through technology, help manage the performance of the yard and delivery operation
- Proactively identify and implement efficiencies throughout the operations
- Monthly report to leadership on the following metrics; on time and in full deliveries, amount and weight of material packed and shipped, receiving discrepancies, etc.
- Develop and manage to an annual budget for operations
Education and Experience Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 years progressive operations leadership experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft or Google Suite and a desire to use technology to improve operations
- String organizational and communication skills
- Strong ability to multitask
Preferred:
- Knowledge of construction, building materials, or a related field
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 42 – 47 per week
