What are the responsibilities and job description for the Estimator and Takeoff Specialist position at Stoneburner, Inc.?
Responsibilities & Expectations:
- Live out the company mission
- Perform accurate quantity takeoffs and cost estimate from construction drawings of varying types
- Read and interpret construction plans to identify project scope and material requirements
- Efficiently and accurately (at least 1 whole house takeoff per day) generate quotes within computer system and communicate those to sales team
- Coordinate with outside reps & customers to ensure accurate quotes
- Know the right questions to ask and an ability to foresee issues and solve them before they happen.
- Perform take offs for anything we sell: metal roofs, decks, lean-to’s, building packages, trusses, windows, doors, composite decking, etc to name a few.
- Know all products we stock and special-order items.
- Always interact with customers in a positive, courteous, and upbeat attitude, with a primary focus on customer service and satisfaction.
- Proficient working knowledge of online ordering & quoting programs – Windows, Entry Doors, Garage Doors
- Standard hours are 7:00-5:00 Monday through Friday. Though hours may vary based on the amount of work and time of year.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
- Extensive knowledge of construction, building materials, and wood frame construction
- Reading Blue prints & creating material estimates.
- Proficient with BlueBeam, PlanSwift, and/or AutoCAD
- Proficiency with Microsoft office Suite, Google Suite or related software
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
