The unit consists of 12 beds with a patient ratio of 4 : 1. There's one tech available for the unit. Equipment used includes GE Monitors, Nova glucometers, and Pyxis med dispense, with Meditech as the documentation system. Job Requirements Requesting a candidate with post-cath care experience including TR band, positive attitude, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. Advanced skills in care of TR band, advanced pulmonary treatments, and medication titration are needed. No procedures are performed on the unit. Schedule Information The assignment requires scheduling every other weekend and following a floating policy in rotation with full-time staff and other travelers. A commitment to patient experience through AIDET, completion of communication board, and medication teaching is necessary. Unit Specific Information The PCU is seeking nurses capable of managing post-cath care and advanced pulmonary treatments. Charcoal gray scrubs are the required uniform for the unit.
