Ability to support patient choice and promote vaginal birth opportunities specific to patient preference.

Advanced skills needed : Spinning babies helpful, STABLE also helpful

Schedule Information

Scheduling requirements : 4 weekend shifts / month

Floating policy : can float to m / b or outside department to task

Unit Specific Information

Unit Specifics : Number of Beds : 9 L&D, 3 swing rooms, 2 ORs & 3 bed OBED

Patient Ratios : 1-2

Unit staffing description : Unit Secretary and scrub tech, dedicated CRNA & midwife in-house 24 / 7, OBGYN on call.

Type of equipment : CPN and Meditech documentation system.

HCA Unit of Distinction 2021, TIPQC Pilot hospital for NTSV and Team Birth

We use a laborist team model with 24 / 7 midwives and dedicated CRNA and OB on call.

Personalized birth experiences to our patients’ desires and needs.

Couplet care in postpartum unit to promote breastfeeding with donor milk availability when needed.

8 bed level 2 NICU with NNP dedicated to the unit 24 / 7.
