Overview of the Role
The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) plays a crucial part in our interdisciplinary team, responsible for providing comprehensive speech-language pathology services to patients. The primary objective is to evaluate and develop treatment plans that cater to each patient's unique needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments to identify communication disorders through clinical evaluations, standardized tests, and patient interviews.
- Design and implement tailored therapy plans based on assessment findings, setting specific goals to address patients' needs effectively.
- Deliver therapeutic interventions to enhance patients' communication skills, including articulation, language comprehension, voice modulation, fluency, swallowing, and feeding abilities.
- Provide education to patients and their families regarding disorder nature, therapy techniques, and strategies for progress and enhanced daily life communication and swallowing.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient evaluations, progress notes, and treatment plans in compliance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.
