Summary

We are seeking a talented Designer to join our team at Stonehearth Remodeling. In this role, you will be instrumental in creating innovative designs that elevate our clients' living spaces into exceptional environments. This position is based in the United States and plays a crucial role in our mission to deliver outstanding remodeling experiences.

  • Solid understanding of materials, building codes, and construction methods in Residential Remodeling.
  • Ability to work closely with both the sales and production teams for seamless project execution.
  • Skilled in SketchUp, Revit, and Matterport for designing and visualizing projects.
  • Capable of interpreting blueprints and material specifications to communicate installation methods, tool requirements, and procedures to the production team..
  • Demonstrated expertise in the field, with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Access to dependable means of transportation to project sites, with the ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.k
  • Excellent organizational abilities and clear communication with team members and clients.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the design and implementation of residential projects, including additions, kitchens, bathrooms, whole home renovations, basement finishes, and exterior work.
  • Create and review detailed residential project plans, ensuring all designs are accurate and feasible.
  • Ensure that all plans adhere to current building codes and regulations, guaranteeing safety and legal compliance.
  • Stay up-to-date on trends in design styles, materials, and construction techniques, and incorporate these into project plans.
  • Manage the selection process for interior finishes, helping clients choose materials that align with the project’s design and budget.
  • Source and procure materials required for the project, ensuring quality and availability.
  • Act as a point of contact for suppliers and subcontractors during the bidding and construction phases, answering questions and clarifying design details.
  • Provide guidance to project managers, field supervisors, and subcontractors on interpreting and implementing design specifications.
  • Assist with other administrative duties related to the project, ensuring smooth coordination and timely completion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
  • Proficiency in Revit, Matterport and Sketchup is essential.
  • Strong understanding of drafting techniques and mechanical design principles.
  • Excellent communication skills for client interactions and teamwork.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
