Overview:
Stonehill's Farmhouse, a boutique hotel and B&B, is seeking a reliable and personable Guest Services Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring a warm and welcoming experience for our guests, managing inventory, and supporting day-to-day operations. This position requires availability on Friday evenings, Saturdays, Sunday mornings, and Thursday afternoons/evenings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Check-In/Check-Out:
- Greet and check guests in on Fridays between 4 PM and 10/11 PM.
- Assist with guest check-outs on Sunday mornings.
- Provide exceptional customer service to ensure a smooth and pleasant stay for all guests.
- Fire Management:
- Start and maintain fires in the outdoor firepit during the appropriate seasons.
- Light and manage the indoor fireplace to create a cozy atmosphere.
- Inventory Management:
- Take regular inventory of supplies, including housekeeping items and minibar stock.
- Assist with reordering supplies to ensure the property is well-stocked.
- Collect room inventory lists from housekeeping, charge guests for minibar and other consumables, and maintain accurate records.
- Minibar Maintenance:
- Ensure minibars in guest rooms are stocked and replenished as needed.
- Monitor and log minibar usage and coordinate with housekeeping to update inventory.
- Event Support:
- Assist the team on Thursdays with setting up for weddings and special events.
- Lead property tours for potential event clients. Must be sales-minded and capable of walking long distances across the property up to the ceremony site and barn event venue.
- General Guest Services:
- Address guest inquiries and requests promptly and professionally.
- Provide information about the local area, attractions, and dining options.
- Ensure the property is clean, well-maintained, and welcoming.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in hospitality, customer service, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with inventory management is a plus.
- Comfortable with basic fire-starting techniques for both indoor and outdoor fires.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Availability to work required hours, including weekends and Thursday afternoons/evenings.
