The General Manager will lead the Manor's team to continue its legacy of excellence in hospitality. You will be responsible for managing the overall operations of the Manor, including guest services, food and beverage management, housekeeping, maintenance, staff management, and financial oversight. The General Manager must ensure that Stonehurst Manor continues to provide a unique and exceptional stay for all guests while maintaining profitable operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operations Management:
- Oversee the entire operation of the Manor, ensuring all departments are achieving their objectives.
- Implement policies and procedures that maintain and improve the operational efficiency of the Manor.
- Work closely with the management team to develop strategies for growth.
2. Guest Experience:
- Maintain the highest standards of service quality and ensure guest satisfaction.
- Resolve any guest issues promptly and professionally.
- Ensure the Manor continues to provide unique experiences reflective of its heritage and luxury status.
3. Financial Oversight:
- Prepare and manage the budget, ensuring cost-effective management of resources.
- Monitor financial performance and implement strategies to increase gross revenue.
4. Staff Management:
- Lead, motivate, and manage staff to maintain high levels of employee engagement and performance.
- Oversee recruitment, training, and development of the team.
- Ensure a positive working environment and maintain high staff retention.
5. Public Relations:
- Collaborate with marketing to enhance the Manor's presence and reputation.
- Engage in community and industry events to promote the Manor.
6. Maintenance & Housekeeping:
- Ensure the Manor and its grounds are well-maintained, safe, and inviting.
- Oversee the housekeeping team to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a General Manager or similar executive role in hospitality.
- Strong understanding of business management, financial principles, and hospitality operations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
