Full-Time Riding Instructor Position
Stoneleigh-Burnham School, an independent girls’ boarding and day school for grades 7-12, seeks an instructor to join the staff at the SBS Equestrian Center.

Position Details:
Full Time
Normal 5 Days a week/ Additional days for show weekends
Perform Daily Teaching requirements/ Assisting with organizing set up for shows and keeping the barn/ring organized
Qualifications:
Current Mass Instructors License
Current USEF Pro Membership
Must have 5 years experience of teaching riding
Knowledge of IEA riding format
Must be able to teach riders from Horsemanship through Intermediate Dressage/ 3' Jumping
Possess knowledge of equine health and conditioning
Should foster a culture of teamwork and discipline
Possess a positive attitude, organized, responsible
Ability to drive a trailer is a bonus but not required
CORI/SORI checks required
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
Training horses and students
Overseeing horses’ healthcare
Maintaining equipment for stable and riding program
Assisting at SBS shows and events with students
SBS Instructor Needs:
We are looking for an experienced riding instructor to join our team! We are focused on teaching riders through all levels and teaching them core and important horsemanship skills along with furthering their knowledge in the saddle. Staff needs to be supportive and positive while creating structure for riders to flourish. We are committed to every rider becoming independent and self driven under the guidance of our instruction.
We specialize in Hunt Seat, Dressage and Cross country. We have both Hunt Seat and Dressage IEA teams that have a history of making it to Regionals, Zones, and Nationals.
We have a diverse group of horses and riders and give both group and private lessons. Lessons need to be taught around having a diverse group of horses in the ring while also catering to the different types of learning. We have a great group of riders with a broad range of knowledge. Flat lessons are generally taught Dressage/Equitation style and Jumping lessons on learning balance of horse and rider and style depending on horses need.
