In this role, you will be entrusted with the responsibility of maintaining financial records, overseeing transactions, and collaborating with the accounting team to ensure the integrity of financial data.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately record daily financial transactions, including sales, receipts, payments, and various financial activities using accounting software.
- Conduct regular reconciliations of bank accounts, credit card statements, and petty cash balances.
- Maintain the general ledger, ensuring precise posting and categorization of all transactions.
- Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes by preparing necessary adjusting entries.
- Generate and thoroughly review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Keep organized financial records and documentation to facilitate auditing procedures.
- Process and file payroll reports, sales tax reports, ensuring compliance with all applicable tax and legal regulations.
- Proven experience in bookkeeping and accounting with a strong attention to detail.
- Solid proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
- Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, or Xero.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, complemented by excellent organizational skills.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or a related role.
